Help with finances and medical expenses

Finances can have a major impact on your decision when considering your pregnancy options.  Most women have worries about resources and costs when they learn they are pregnant. Will you still be able to work through your pregnancy? If you choose adoption, what will it cost you? How will the medical bills be covered? These are questions we often hear from women who are exploring adoption and we understand how important these questions are. We will work with you to figure out solutions for your personal situation to ensure you are taken care of during your pregnancy. In many cases, Cradle of Hope can arrange for the help you need to cover costs of your medical bills.

Will adoption cost me anything?

No.  All counseling and legal services will be provided at no cost to you. You will incur no expenses in making an adoption plan for your child.

Can I receive help with medical bills?

Yes, if insurance is a concern for you, Cradle of Hope will assist you to obtain health insurance so your medical bills are covered. We can assist with medical bills pertaining to your pregnancy including prenatal care, sonograms, lab work, doctor visits and delivery expenses.

Can I receive support with living expenses during the pregnancy?

Yes. If your doctor says you are unable to work due to your pregnancy, we can provide financial assistance for your rent, food, clothing, transportation, and cell phone. Cradle of Hope and the adoptive families we work understand that you may need help during the adoption and that it may be difficult for you to work, live in your current environment or care for your family while you are pregnant, especially if your family, friends or community are not supportive of your pregnancy or adoption decision. State laws determine our ability to provide you with financial assistance and how much financial assistance can be made available to you.
